About
I am a research historian, writer and editor, specialising in 20th century international relations, and best known for my work on T.E. Lawrence. As a Research Fellow of the University of Bristol, I am particularly interested in Britain and the Arab Revolt of 1916-18.
My publications include Lawrence of Arabia, The Authorised Biography, and T. E. Lawrence [the catalogue of the T.E. Lawrence Centenary Exhibition held at the National Portrait Gallery, London].
I am currently working with my wife Nicole on a scholarly subscription edition of Lawrence’s works and correspondence. I am also responsible for the T.E. Lawrence Studies website.
There is a fuller list of publications here.
I started this blog in 2010 as a way to bring together information I had previously posted on the T.E. Lawrence Studies discussion list and the News page of the Castle Hill Press wesbite.
I hope you will find something here that you find interesting.
